Often times we underestimate the importance of art ...not just in society as a whole but in our lives. Here in the Hive art is particularly important. It doesnt take a back seat to other areas. The left brain and right brain need to equally get stimulated and used. So we make an effort to incorporate all forms of art into the way we homeschool. Some of the ways you can include more art are:
Paint
Study a piece of Art
Be unafraid to let them finger paint
Ask them to illustrate their writing.
For older kids, have them make their own comic book
